What is the Huron Music Association?

The Huron Music Association (HMA) is a non profit organization dedicated to supporting the entire Huron Music Department through fundraising and volunteer efforts. We are led and organized by parent volunteers. As a music student parent, you automatically become a member of the HMA. Welcome!

How are Funds used?

All funds raised go towards the music program, including continuing education for faculty, event supplies, sheet music, guest teachers and master classes, instruments, equipment, music lesson subsidies for students, and scholarships for camps and trips. Our goal is to support the music programs in having the most robust, enriching experience possible for all our students.

How do we fundraise?

  1. Annual HMA donations go to the General Fund. This contribution is crucial to the success of several HMA programs, including awards and music lesson subsidies. We invite all families to pay dues to the HMA on Givebutter. You can join at any level. Select the amount you want to donate next to the box at the appropriate level. There are several different contribution levels—please choose the one that works for your family. All contributions are important and appreciated.
  2. Our annual HMA fundraiser. We will be doing a donation-based fundraiser through Givebutter in late October/early November, which is 100% online.
